Beyond hospitality and senior living, the West Development team has extended its expertise to a variety of industries, including gaming, finance, commercial construction, and real estate. With a steadfast commitment to being a valued partner, West Development continues to evolve, supporting dynamic business and providing a rewarding environment for its team members.
1996
West Development was founded and soon acquired six undeveloped acres in Carlsbad, California. The initial vision was to construct buildings for a gas station, hotel, and two restaurants, leasing them to franchise operators. However, a pivotal decision was made to not only own the buildings but also operate the businesses. Each business would function as a separate entity, with West Development providing centralized administrative support.
2004
Westmart®, the first establishment in West Village, opened its doors. This premier gas station featured 16 gasoline and 8 diesel fueling points, along with a convenience store. Known for its competitive pricing, immaculate facilities, and commitment to excellent customer service, Westmart® quickly became a valued member of the community.
2004-2007
Over the next three years, West Steakhouse, West Inn & Suites, and Bistro West opened, quickly becoming North County favorites. These businesses thrived for over a decade, with West Inn & Suites continuing to serve guests today under new ownership.
2009
West Development expanded into senior living with the launch of West Living, operating communities across California, Arizona, and Washington.
2016-2017
Building on its expertise in senior living, Vitality Senior Living was founded. The company acquired its first community, Vitality Court Victoria, in Texas in 2016, followed by Vitality Court Texas Star in 2017.
2019
Ninety-Nine Ten Business Solutions was established, further diversifying West Development’s portfolio.
